Founded in 1986 by Terry Thoren, the print magazine is published monthly and features articles on current animated movies, television series, anime, short animated films, visual effects, interactive titles and software releases from both major studios and independent producers. Editorial covers all forms of animation, including 2D, 3D and stop-motion, and profiles the artists behind the productions. Digital versions of the print editions were introduced In 2006.
